FAQ

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH MY DOG?

A collar, a leash, and a meal if you would like your dog to have food during the day. If your dog requires medication please bring that. We will offer food for an additional charge if you forget your dog's food.
Do not bring toys from home, bones, raw hides, beds, nyla bones, or really anything else. It is likely your dog will not be able to have these during daycare.

WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR MY DOG TO ATTEND DAYCARE?

Your dog must have all 3 boosters if they are a puppy. After that they must have all 3 vaccinations and they must be up to date. We will ask for documentation when you attend. Your dog also must be spayed/neutered after 9 months. This is on a case based scenario. If your dog creates issues due to being unaltered your dog may need to be kept separate for an addition charge.

CAN I COME TOUR YOUR FACILITY?

Of course you can! Please do not randomly show up as it is likely I will be very busy playing with the dogs, but if you call or email ahead we can schedule a time for you to stop by. Strangers can cause some dogs stress so we must schedule the tour at specific times to help not disrupt the dogs.

DO YOU SEPARATE THE DOGS BASED ON SIZE?

Yes and No. We do it based on compatibility. Some dogs do best with smaller calmer dogs and some dogs do best with large dogs. This is why an evaluation is a must so we can understand your dog's needs.

MY PET HAS A SPECIAL DIET. CAN THEIR NEEDS BE ACCOMMODATED?

All dogs are aloud to bring a lunch time meal. We can separate your dog during feeding time and we can also give extra meals for an additional cost. If your pup is on medication we will gladly accommodate that too.

DOES MY DOG HAVE TO DO A FREE TRIAL?

YES! All new dogs must go through the evaluation process. As much as we would love to accommodate every dog that comes through the door the truth is that won't happen. Every dog is different. Some dogs just do not do well in daycare. Or Wiggle Pups might not be a good match for your pup. There is many factors when choosing a dog daycare. I want to help all dogs feel comfortable. If your pet does not feel comfortable here I want to figure that out from the start.

HOW DO I SIGN MY PUP UP FOR DAYCARE?

We recommend you call or email us and from there we can discuss setting up your free evaluation day. Never show up without an appointment. This can disrupt the dogs and can cause stress. Our day has a tight schedule so we must do our best to stick to that. If you ever have any questions please free feel to call us. I may be out with the dogs but will do my best to contact you ASAP!

IS THERE ANY BREEDS YOU DO NOT ACCEPT?

We accept all breeds. It all depends on their personality. All dogs must be human and dog friendly. We can separate your dog if he prefers to be alone but this will be an extra charge on top of the regular rate. If your dog does have behavioral issues we can dismiss them at any point.

DO YOU TAKE THE DOGS FOR WALKS OR ON HIKES?

Unfortunately I do not take the dogs for walks or hikes. The dogs will be in my facility until they are picked up at the end of the day. I never want to chance a dog running off in my care. We have a nice yard space for the dogs to run around in. If group dog hikes are what you are looking for I recommend looking at the other wonderful businesses in Kamloops who offer that.

DO YOU OFFER OVERNIGHT BOARDING?

Unfortunately we are not offering overnight care at this time. We are hoping at some point in the future we will be.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MY DOG AFTER THEY COME HOME FROM DAYCARE?

Dog daycare can be both physically and mentally stimulating, be prepared to have a tired pup. It is normal for your dog to drink lots of water when they came home as well as be quite hungry. They sometimes forgot to drink water at daycare, and because they have done a big workout they also may be hungrier then usual.
Dogs can be rough while playing sometimes. It is normal for dogs to get small cuts and nicks. We like to keep the dogs as safe as possible but just like kids they can be accident prone. If you notice an injury that we didn't catch please let us know as soon as you see it. We never want the dogs to get hurt.
Your dog may also be a bit smelly and dirty. This is normal and very likely to happen. If you like a clean dog I do not recommend daycare.

CAN I JUST DROP MY DOG OFF OR DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

All dogs must have an appointment. We do not accept drop ins. We are a small facility that has a max capacity. Please call, text, or email to book in an appointment. We are very full through the week and usually require a couple weeks notice for any appointments.
